Markel is seeking a Sr. Actuarial Manager to lead pricing, profitability monitoring, and portfolio analytics for Workers Compensation, partnering with senior leadership and underwriting to drive profitable growth.

The role requires deep actuarial expertise, ACAS, and the ability to communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences. US work authorization is required, with competitive compensation and a strong benefits package.

Formación

• Minimum 8–10 years actuarial experience with strong WC emphasis.
• Experience pricing, reserving, or portfolio management in Workers Compensation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience partnering with Underwriting, Claims, and Finance leaders to influence strategy.

Responsabilidades

• Lead actuarial analyses and provide strategic guidance for the Workers Compensation segment with profitability and portfolio management in mind.
• Develop and maintain pricing analyses, rate indications, portfolio monitoring tools, and profitability assessments.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Executive Management to identify risks and opportunities and support strategic decisions.
• Monitor portfolio results, loss trends, and underwriting performance to propose actionable improvements.
• Provide actuarial support for business planning, forecasting, and reinsurance evaluations.
