Job summary

PeopleLink Group is seeking a Workers' Compensation Coordinator to support field staff and profit centers with processing Workers' Compensation claims from start to finish. You will maintain logs, handle documentation, and generate reports while collaborating with carriers, TPAs, and internal teams to ensure timely closures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage Workers Compensation claims from beginning to end.
  • Maintain updated claim information in the operational software systems as required.
  • Maintain and update logs and follow-up activities in the Workers Compensation system by due dates for later action.
  • Maintain and process all documentation for Workers Compensation injury reports, including follow-up of all medical appointments, modified duty accommodations, drug-screen results when required, etc.
  • Create and process all required Workers Compensation reports within the assigned frequency.
  • Create and customize Workers Compensation reports for branches, RVPs, upper management, and executives as requested.
  • Manage reserves up to $10,000 working with the assigned claims adjuster.
  • Manage reserve requests at levels above $10,000 to get approval following department protocol and completing all required documentation.
  • Develop and provide resolution options/ideas for closure of claims.
  • Process all Certificate of Insurance requests for assigned states and when assistance is needed with other states.
  • Process all Workers Compensation Class Code requests in assigned states and when assistance is needed with other states.
  • Log and review invoices, codes, and process to carrier/ TPA and/or AvidXchange.
  • Answer calls and other communications from field branches and profit centers.
  • Provide consistent communication to branch offices field staff, profit centers, TPA and/or adjusters regarding all open claims.
  • Update field staff and profit centers of claim status as appropriate.
  • Provide consistent support, direction, and guidance to field staff and profit centers.
  • Collaborate and provide documents and training for field staff and profit centers as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of any law changes relating to the Workers Compensation claims and insurance industry, including state specific changes.
  • Maintain knowledge of workplace safety and health topics, including OSHA and other government regulations.
  • Provide support and assistance to other members of the Loss Control Services team.
  • Maintain communication and collaboration with the Loss Control Services Supervisor including but not limited to all team members.
  • Utilize corporate resources efficiently and appropriately.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Worker's Compensation Coordinator (Project Management)

The primary focus of the Worker's Compensation Coordinators responsibility is to assist the field staff and profit centers with processing any Loss Control Services related tasks such as Workers Compensation claims in their entirety, Certificate of Insurance requests, assist field offices and profit centers in proper assignment of Workers Compensation codes. Consistent communication with the field offices, profit centers, insurance carriers, TPA, medical providers and the Loss Control team is mandatory. Logging accurate notes into the system for all interactions regarding each claim is critical. HIPAA, Medical Records, Workers Compensation claims, and general insurance knowledge is a plus.

Position Responsibilities
