You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, developers, vendors, and leadership to align systems with organizational priorities.
The position offers significant influence over architecture standards, enterprise initiatives, integrations, and technology roadmaps.
You will also provide expert guidance, mentor technical and business partners, and help resolve highly complex system challenges.
This is an opportunity to make a broad operational impact while working at the intersection of enterprise architecture, Workday, and healthcare technology.

Accountabilities:

  • Architecture Strategy: Design, develop, implement, support, and optimize architecture strategies that align technology capabilities with business, clinical, and administrative needs.
  • Enterprise Solutions: Provide strategic consultation on business processes, system capabilities, technology options, and enterprise solutions, contributing to strategy development, opportunity identification, and business innovation initiatives.
  • System Design: Specify and design large or complex systems, solutions, and processes while selecting appropriate architecture standards, methods, technologies, and tools.
  • Technical Integration: Develop architecture models, component requirements, and detailed implementation specifications while advising teams on system development, integration, workflows, and technical processes.
  • Business and User Requirements: Work with stakeholders to understand user needs, operating environments, technical constraints, and organizational requirements, translating them into effective and sustainable solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Lead improvement initiatives, refine methodologies, and ensure technology and process changes deliver measurable business benefits.
  • Change Management: Oversee enterprise change management activities, assess the impact of proposed changes across affected teams, and provide guidance to ensure established processes and standards are followed.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Lead the resolution of complex architecture and business challenges and serve as a technical leader for high-impact enterprise initiatives.
  • Technical Leadership: Maintain deep expertise across relevant technologies and provide expert advice, mentoring, and training to developers, peers, management, and business partners.
  • Architecture Governance: Reinforce technology principles, policies, procedures, and standards while evaluating major design decisions and ensuring solutions balance functionality, service quality, performance, integration, and operational requirements.
  • Stakeholder and Vendor Management: Build and manage effective relationships with vendors, professional peers, business stakeholders, and technical teams, including navigating complex or challenging situations.
  • Operational Support: Apply preventative techniques to reduce recurring issues, support implementations and training when needed, participate in on‑call responsibilities, and travel to affiliated sites when required.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, computer science, business, informatics, or a related field with at least 8 years of experience in system analysis involving business, clinical, or administrative applications; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Workday Expertise: 5–7 years of hands‑on Workday experience, with strong understanding of enterprise systems and architecture.
  • Healthcare Experience: Experience working within a healthcare environment is preferred, particularly where complex clinical, administrative, and business systems intersect.
  • Technical Architecture: Experience with data integration, application roadmaps, technical architecture, workflow architecture, or comparable enterprise technology disciplines is highly valued.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to understand highly complex system designs holistically and assess architecture, environmental strategy, dependencies, and performance in dynamic or high-pressure situations.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Strong analytical and decision‑making capabilities, with the ability to evaluate complex technical options, identify risks, and develop practical solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, mentor others, facilitate collaboration, and lead multidisciplinary teams through complex initiatives.
