The Solutions Architect – Workday serves as a senior-level technical and functional expert responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering enterprise Workday solutions that support Trinity Health’s Human Resources technology ecosystem.
This role serves as a key partner to the PLAN team and business stakeholders by evaluating incoming business requests, assessing technical feasibility, defining scalable solution options, identifying system dependencies, and providing accurate effort estimates required to successfully deliver enterprise Workday initiatives.
The Solutions Architect is responsible for translating complex business requirements into sustainable, secure, and scalable Workday solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, system governance, and long-term platform strategy.
This position requires deep expertise across multiple Workday functional areas and serves as both a solution architect and senior hands-on configuration expert for complex enterprise initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare or information technology and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five (5) years of progressive experience with comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering in at least two (2) IT disciplines (i.e., as strategic planning, solution architecture, technology architecture, network management, security management, change management, application development, middleware design, information analysis, database management, project management and operations management).
Advanced technical knowledge and understanding of multiple architectures, applications, systems design, entity-relationships, and integration.
Demonstrated thorough understanding of modern enterprise architecture.
Knowledge of healthcare processes and data linkages across clinical, financial, and patient administrative areas in acute care and outpatient settings.
Ability to understand how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking). Knowledge of multiple components of enterprise architecture. Demonstrated knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes. Basic knowledge of financial analysis and models.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in design and development of processing, reporting, analytic, and application solutions to support end-user decision-making.
Excellent organization, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Must possess the ability to work collaboratively across product management methodology (Management, Engineering and Optimization) teams.
Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare nomenclature and clinical and financial business processes preferred.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

This position operates in a typical office environment. The area is well-lit, temperature-controlled and free from hazards.
Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of different locations on technical issues.
Manual dexterity is needed in order to operate a keyboard. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone, video conferencing and in person communications.
The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same period and adapt to interruptions.
The incumbent must be capable of traveling up to 20% in the course of completing project assignments.
