Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a reporting professional to join a fast-paced finance technology team supporting Workday reporting and analytics for a high-impact enterprise environment. This 12-month contract role focuses on building scalable solutions and improving data quality.

You will develop and maintain Workday reports and dashboards, collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure data governance, and deliver clear business insights while supporting incident resolution and ongoing process

Qualifications

• Four+ years of Workday Finance and Accounting reporting experience.
• Experience with Prism/Tableau or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and planning processes.
• Knowledge of Workday security roles and access implications.
• Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, advanced reports, and calculated fields
• Support analytics initiatives that help improve financial decision-making and reporting outcomes
• Ensure reporting data is accurate, consistent, and governed appropriately across systems
• Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests with a focus on clarity and business value
• Work with downstream teams to help ensure data is integrated correctly and reliably
• Document business requirements, system processes, and reporting solutions
• Assist with implementation activities, hypercare support, and user adoption efforts
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and maintain system documentation
• Provide support for incidents, bugs, and system issues as they arise

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 4 years of relevant Workday Finance and Accounting reporting experience
• Hands‑on experience with Prism and/or Tableau, or similar reporting and analytics tools
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and planning processes
• Working knowledge of Workday security roles and their impact on reporting access
• Proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment
• Experience working with large, multi‑dimensional datasets from multiple sources

Preferred Skills

• Workday certification, or a commitment to complete relevant certification after joining
• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
• Strong dashboard design and data storytelling skills
• Clear executive communication and presentation abilities
• Experience supporting retail and/or grocery business environments
