Job summary

The Planet Group in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Workday Payroll Systems Manager to lead governance, optimization, and maintenance of Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking. This role operates in a project-focused team delivering enterprise-wide HR system enhancements.

You will manage priorities, protect system integrity, and drive governance while collaborating on HR policy implementations and audits. Hybrid onsite with some remote flexibility considered.

Compensation Range: $130,000 – 155,000

Our customer is preparing to replace a key role on their team: Workday Payroll Systems Manager. This is a particularly unique and specialized position within the organization, and they are looking for a candidate with strong experience in Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.

• The team is heavily project focused and supports initiatives such as Workday governance, legislative changes, HR policy implementations, acquisitions, audits, and enterprise-wide system enhancements.
• The manager needs to be able to assess competing priorities, understand team capacity, establish governance, and, at times, push back on requests or negotiate timelines to protect both the team and the integrity of their systems.
• Manage and sustain high demand environments, influence priorities, setting boundaries, and challenging demands.
• In this environment, there will be times we successfully influence change and times we need to accommodate operational needs. Finding that balance is critical.
