Job summary

Armanino is seeking a Workday Payroll Consulting Manager in Chicago, IL to lead end‑to‑end Workday Payroll implementations and serve as a trusted advisor on delivery efforts. You will mentor teams, ensure high-quality outcomes, and support pre‑sales activities.

This role requires active Workday Payroll certification with Time Tracking or Absence, and at least 5 years of delivery experience in Workday implementations. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active certification in Workday Payroll and either Workday Time Tracking or Absence.
• Minimum of 5 years architecting and delivering Workday implementations with on‑time, on‑scope delivery.
• Deep understanding of Workday deployment methodologies (Launch, Launch Express, or partner-adjacent approaches).
• Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects while maintaining delivery quality.
• Strong communication skills to engage executives and coach delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations, including U.S. Payroll with Time Tracking, Scheduling, or Absence.
• Own the full project lifecycle from discovery through deployment, architecting solutions and managing risks.
• Serve as workstream and project lead guiding cross-functional delivery teams through configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Manage timelines, dependencies, and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Build trusted client partnerships by translating complex Workday functionality into clear business outcomes.
• Mentor and develop junior consultants through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Support pre-sales efforts with scoping, proposals, and client presentations.
