Overview

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an HRIS/HCM Specialist to join a client in Fremont. This is a 3 month contract position with the potential to extend. The position is 100% onsite. Hours for the role are Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. This role will support and enhance company HR systems, with a focus on Workday HCM, Benefits, and Payroll. This role is essential in ensuring system integrity, timely issue resolution, and delivering accurate reporting to support business decisions.

Base pay range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Job duties and responsibilities are described below.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve system support tickets related to Workday HCM, Benefits, Payroll, and internal HR systems.
  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Payroll teams to investigate and resolve employee system inquiries.
  • Process benefits packages in Workday.
  • Support the annual benefits open enrollment process through configuration review, testing, and data validation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in system testing, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify patterns in recurring issues and recommend solutions to improve system efficiency and user experience.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analysis, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM or other HRIS platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Benefits and Payroll modules.
  • Proven track record in HRIS ticket management and system support.
  • Workday certifications (HCM, Benefits, Reporting Pro) highly desirable.
  • Strong expertise in Workday HCM, including Benefits and Payroll functionality.
  • Proficient in building Workday reports, calculated fields, and dashboards.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
