HR Contractor – Leave Management Transition (6-Month Contract)

About the Team

The HR Services team supports end-to-end HR operations across the US, ensuring compliant, efficient HR processes while leveraging Workday, HR technology, and AI-enabled tools to deliver a modern employee experience.

About the Role

We're looking for an HR professional to support a major Leave Management system transition. During this 6-month contract, you'll help maintain day-to-day leave operations while assisting with the migration from our legacy leave administration platform to a new vendor solution.

This role combines leave administration, employee support, project coordination, and HR systems work to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to employees and the business.

What You'll Do
Leave Administration

Manage employee leave requests in the legacy leave management system

Ensure leave cases are processed accurately and on time

Maintain accurate leave records throughout the transition

System Transition & Migration

Support the migration of historical leave data to the new platform

Help identify, validate, and resolve data discrepancies

Assist with system testing, workflow validation, and implementation activities

Document new processes and contribute to training materials

Employee & Manager Support

Guide employees through the transition, including communicating key dates and new leave request procedures

Respond to leave-related questions and escalations through the HR case management system

Troubleshoot issues related to leave requests and the migration process

Partner with HR, IT, and the implementation vendor to ensure a successful rollout

What We're Looking For
Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

3+ years of HR Operations or HR Services experience

Hands-on experience administering employee leave and absence programs

Strong understanding of US leave regulations, including state-mandated paid leave programs and how they interact with employer-sponsored benefits

Experience using HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and HR case management systems

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage confidential employee information with discretion

Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Experience supporting HR system implementations or data migrations

Project coordination or vendor management experience

Exposure to AI-enabled HR tools or digital HR technologies

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $44.57-$.49.57/hr USD.
