Houlihan Lokey, Inc. is seeking a Workday HR Reporting Analyst on a fixed-term basis within the Human Capital Group.

The role focuses on creating and delivering critical Workday HR reports and leading upskilling sessions to empower colleagues to build and run their own reports. In collaboration with the Analytics Lead, you will design, build, and optimize sophisticated reports, calculated fields, and dashboards while ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and governance across the global HR data

Qualifications

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Workday HR Reporting Analyst will join the Human Capital Group (HCG) at Houlihan Lokey on a fixed-term contract (FTC) dedicated to two core priorities: the creation and delivery of critical Workday HR reports, and the knowledge transfer and enablement of HCG colleagues to build and run reports independently. In close collaboration with the HCG Analytics Lead and broader HR team, this specialist will design, build, and optimize custom reports, calculated fields, and executive dashboards to address key business needs. Simultaneously, the role will lead structured upskilling sessions and create practical reference materials to establish sustainable self-sufficiency across the team. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for a proven Workday report writer who thrives on both solution delivery and mentoring others.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, validate, and schedule advanced custom reports, dashboards, and discovery boards in Workday to meet business and stakeholder requirements.
• Develop complex calculated fields, data sources, and multi-dimensional reporting structures to surface actionable HR insights.
• Develop and deliver a structured training and enablement program to upskill HCG colleagues in creating, modifying, and running Workday reports.
• Provide hands-on coaching, drop-in support, and practical walkthroughs to build lasting team self-sufficiency.
• Author and maintain comprehensive, user-friendly process documentation, job aids, and report inventories for all newly developed assets.
• Partner with HCG stakeholders to gather, clarify, and translate business requirements into intuitive reporting solutions.
• Perform rigorous data validation and audit testing to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with global HR data governance standards.
• Ensure all reporting solutions strictly adhere to data privacy regulations and Workday security group protocols.

KEY ATTRIBUTES / REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience authoring advanced Workday custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards.
• Proven experience developing and delivering technical training or mentoring colleagues on Workday reporting.
• Strong functional understanding of Workday data architecture, business objects, data sources, and security group models.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data validation, reconciliation, and audit testing.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear user guidance and documentation.

The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is: $85,000 - $115,000. Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
