Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Workday Financials Functional Consultant for a fully remote role in the United States. You will collaborate with finance teams to translate business needs into scalable Workday configurations, covering end‑to‑end implementations from discovery through go‑live.

Required: 5+ years with Workday Financials and certification, plus strong accounting knowledge and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle Workday implementations from design to post‑go‑live.
• Coordinate testing, data conversion, and UAT to ensure data accuracy and issue resolution.

Our partner is looking for a Workday Financials Functional Consultant based in the United States.Join a technology-focused consulting environment where you will help organizations transform their financial operations through Workday Financial Management solutions. As a Workday Financials Functional Consultant, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective, scalable system configurations. You will contribute to end-to-end implementations, covering solution design, configuration, testing, data conversion, and go-live support. Working closely with finance teams and technical specialists, you will optimize financial workflows, strengthen reporting capabilities, and support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. You will also play a key role in user training, system integrations, and continuous process improvement. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced consultant who combines strong financial knowledge with technical expertise and a passion for delivering measurable business value.

Accountabilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements by collaborating with finance teams, business users, and other stakeholders to understand operational needs and functional objectives.
• Design, configure, and optimize Workday Financials modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and Cash Management.
• Support full-cycle Workday Financials implementations, from initial requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Coordinate system testing, data conversion, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solution performance, ensure data accuracy, and resolve functional issues before deployment.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows, streamline business processes, and leverage Workday best practices and automation capabilities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop functional documentation, training materials, and user guides, and deliver training sessions to support adoption of new systems and processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design, coordinate, and validate integrations between Workday Financials and other enterprise applications.
• Support financial reporting, custom report development, and dashboard configuration to improve visibility into financial performance and facilitate informed decision-making.
• Ensure Workday Financials configurations and business processes align with applicable regulatory requirements, internal controls, and organizational policies.
• Provide ongoing functional support, troubleshoot system issues, and recommend enhancements to maintain system performance and support evolving business needs.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience working with Workday Financials, including participation in a minimum of two full-cycle implementations.
• Required Workday Financials certification, demonstrating relevant knowledge of the platform and its financial management capabilities.
• Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting principles, and core business processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial accounting, asset management, and cash management.
• Hands-on experience configuring Workday Financials modules and establishing business processes aligned with organizational requirements.
• Proven experience gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating business needs into functional solutions, and supporting end-to-end implementation activities.
• Practical experience with system testing, data conversion, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex functional challenges and develop effective, sustainable solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, finance professionals, and technical teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver project milestones within established timelines.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining productive relationships with clients and cross-functional project teams.
