Job summary

Ferrilli is seeking a Workday Financials Consultant focused on Foundation Data Model (FDM) and Record to Report (R2R). The role designs and optimizes foundational financial structures, configurations, and core R2R processes to ensure compliant, scalable operations following Workday best practices.

The position requires hands-on FDM and R2R configuration experience, 3+ years in Workday Financial Management, and Workday certifications. Travel up to 20% may be required as client needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting Workday Financial Management.
• Hands-on experience with Foundation Data Model and Record to Report configuration.
• Workday Financials certification in FDM and/or R2R.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting structures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with finance, accounting, and technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 10-20% based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand financial policies, reporting requirements, and accounting structures.
• Design and configure Workday Foundation Data Model components including worktags, ledgers, fiscal calendars, and organizations.
• Configure and support Record to Report processes such as journals, accounting postings, allocations, close activities, and reconciliations.
• Serve as a functional expert and trusted advisor on Workday Financials, FDM, and accounting best practices.
• Support end-to-end Workday Financials implementations including design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Lead and support testing activities including unit testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial integration and accounting.
• Develop and deliver client documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and continuous system optimization.
• Stay current with Workday Financials releases, FDM enhancements, and regulatory or accounting impacts.
