Job summary

William & Mary recently implemented Workday Financial Management and is building a modern, scalable reporting ecosystem for finance users across the university. The Workday Financial Reporting and Analytics Analyst serves as the finance organization’s primary “front door” for reporting requests and distribution.

This role creates and supports Workday financial reports (the first and preferred solution whenever possible), and integrates with the FinOps Analytics team to deliver complex,

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of financial statements and core accounting concepts (GL, journal activity, balances, reconciliations, close processes).
• Ability to translate stakeholder questions into clear reporting requirements and outputs on deadline.
• Experience with at least one BI tool (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau) and comfort with data sets and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Workday financial reports and dashboards to support finance stakeholders.
• Own report distribution and lifecycle management including scheduling and documentation.
• Collaborate with finance and IT to translate business questions into standardized outputs.
• Support BI needs beyond Workday with multi-source analytics in Qlik/Power BI.
• Maintain documentation for report logic and data lineage.
