Job summary

William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business seeks a Financial Data and Reporting Analyst to advance financial and operational reporting.

You will prepare data, maintain dashboards, and support data-informed decisions across finance, enrollment, and programs. Reporting to the Senior Director Data Analytics, you will work with Workday, Banner, CRM systems, and BI tools to deliver accurate analyses and clear presentations for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, information systems, statistics, mathematics, public administration, or related field.
• Experience with structured data, spreadsheets, reports, or administrative datasets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and reporting functions.
• Ability to collect, organize, reconcile, validate, and analyze information from multiple sources with accuracy.
• Ability to identify trends and communicate findings clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple recurring and ad hoc priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain recurring financial, enrollment, and operational reports.
• Extract, combine, clean, reconcile, and validate data from Workday, Banner, CRM, and other sources.
• Perform budget-to-actual, revenue, expenditure, enrollment, and trend analyses.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, Excel tools, visualizations, and documentation.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with partners to resolve issues.
• Prepare concise summaries and presentations explaining variances and trends.
• Document report logic, data definitions, and recurring calendars for consistency.
• Support process improvement, reporting automation, and annual reporting cycles.
