Description du poste

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Architect based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Workday Architect to shape the technical vision, architecture, and long‑term evolution of an enterprise Workday ecosystem. In this role, you will lead architectural design across HCM, Payroll, integrations, security, and related modules, ensuring systems remain scalable, secure, and sustainable. You will translate business strategy into technical roadmaps while guiding complex implementations, system transformations, and integrations with third‑party platforms. Working closely with workforce systems leadership, technical teams, and external partners, you will establish standards and drive continuous improvement. You will also mentor administrators and analysts, resolve complex technical challenges, and help the organization adopt new Workday capabilities. This remote opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a mission‑driven, technology‑focused environment.

Accountabilities
  • Design and govern the overall Workday architecture, including business process frameworks, security models, tenant configuration, and integration environments.
  • Lead complex technical initiatives, including module implementations, mergers and acquisitions integrations, major upgrades, and tenant consolidations.
  • Define and manage integration strategies connecting Workday with third‑party and downstream systems, such as payroll providers, benefits carriers, time‑tracking platforms, and finance systems.
  • Use relevant Workday integration technologies, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Workday web services.
  • Establish and maintain configuration standards, naming conventions, and governance practices that support a scalable and sustainable Workday environment.
  • Partner with workforce systems leadership to translate business objectives into technical strategies and system roadmaps.
  • Conduct architectural reviews of proposed configuration changes and assess their potential downstream impact.
  • Evaluate Workday's twice‑yearly releases, identify relevant new capabilities, and advise on adoption and implementation.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex configuration, integration, data, and system issues.
  • Mentor Workday administrators and analysts, strengthening technical capabilities and promoting consistent practices.
  • Manage relationships with Workday Professional Services, application management service providers, and implementation partners as needed.
  • Maintain data integrity, security compliance, and audit readiness across the Workday environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 7 years of Workday experience, including 3 or more years in an architecture or technical leadership role.
  • Deep expertise across multiple Workday modules, with HCM required and experience in Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, and/or Projects strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience with Workday integration technologies, including Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Report‑as‑a‑Service (RaaS), and Workday web services.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security groups, business process configuration, and calculated fields.
  • Demonstrated experience leading full‑lifecycle implementations or major Workday tenant transformations.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and evaluate architectural trade‑offs.
  • Excellent stakeholder‑management skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and recommendations to non‑technical leaders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external service providers.
  • Workday integration certifications are preferred; Workday Pro certification is an advantage.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable U.S. government export‑control regulations. This includes being a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or another individual covered by the relevant legal definition. Applicants must also be eligible to obtain any required export authorizations.
Benefits
  • Salary: Annual base salary of $140,000–$190,000, depending on experience, skills, and location. This range excludes benefits and any bonus or incentive compensation.
