Bloom Energy is a leading clean‑energy company dedicated to providing reliable, affordable power solutions worldwide. Workday Architect role – based in SanJose, CA – focuses on designing, configuring, and supporting the Workday HCM platform.

Responsibilities
  • Configure, manage, and maintain Bloom’s HR systems including Workday (HCM), Recruiting, Advance Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, and Talent Management.
  • Lead Workday implementation of additional functionalities such as Onboarding and Absence Management.
  • Design and develop Workday reports and dashboards to support HR and business analytics needs.
  • Lead or support Workday semi‑annual releases, including impact analysis, configuration updates, regression testing, and stakeholder communications.
  • Provide day‑to‑day systems support, troubleshoot data and system issues, recommend solutions, and implement enhancements per change‑control guidelines.
  • Manage integration of the HCM application and reports with other business systems and vendors (e.g., ADP, Oracle, Benefits Providers).
  • Ensure system controls and processes meet all internal and external audit requirements.
  • Research and test new functionality and features within Workday.
  • Create detailed documentation of business processes and system functionality, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to execute transactions.
  • Partner with Global HR Operations, HR Business Partners, and Payroll & Benefits to define and develop requirements, re‑engineer processes, and implement new functionality in Workday.
  • Ensure data security and integrity within Workday through appropriate security role design, audits, controls, and monitoring, supporting internal and external audit activities.
  • Provide training, direction, and guidance to team members on Workday expertise.
Qualifications
  • 6–8 years of hands‑on Workday experience, including configuration and support across multiple HCM modules.
  • Proven experience leading Workday projects, including new module implementations, redesigns, integrations, and large‑scale enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle and their translation into Workday business processes and security models.
  • Advanced experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, and complex security requirements.
  • Experience designing, testing, and deploying integrations between Workday and third‑party systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with ability to translate business needs into technical designs and clearly articulate trade‑offs.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing deadlines in a fast‑paced, global environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and lead cross‑functional workshops.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Workday Pro certification, Workday certifications, or equivalent advanced training is strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $139,400.00 – $200,600.00.
  • The total compensation for this position includes standard company benefits (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.) and is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience.
