HPOne in Shelton, CT is seeking an experienced Workday HCM administrator to partner with HR stakeholders, maintain data integrity, test system changes, gather requirements, develop meaningful reports, and identify opportunities to improve processes and the overall user experience. This hybrid role requires on-site presence in Shelton three days per week (Tue/Wed/Fri).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as HCM system administrator for Workday modules including HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Talent, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Advanced Compensation, and Integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into system configurations and workflows.
  • Perform ongoing system maintenance, troubleshooting, and feature testing to improve functionality.
  • Configure and test new features and integrations to deliver efficiencies and better UX.
  • Provide end-user support and resolve system-related issues promptly.

Job description

This is a hybrid position - we are onsite in SHELTON, CT 3x week (Tue/Wed/Fri)

This position serves as a key technical point-of-contact for Workday HCM and partners with functional subject matter experts to maintain data integrity, test system changes, gather requirements, develop meaningful reports, and identify opportunities to improve processes and the overall user experience. Support and manage Workday semi-annual updates, testing, and other exciting technical projects as assigned. This position will also provide knowledgeable and responsive HCM system support.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serve as HCM system administrator for Workday applications such as: HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Talent, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Advanced Compensation, and Integrations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, needs, and requirements, translating them into thoughtful system configurations and effective workflows
  • Perform regular and ongoing system maintenance activities including updates, troubleshooting, and enhancements to keep the system running smoothly and continuously improve functionality
  • Configure and thoroughly test new features, functionalities, and integrations to create operational efficiencies and deliver an enhanced user experience
  • Deliver exceptional end-user support by promptly resolving system-related concerns, thoughtfully troubleshooting issues, and helping users get the most from Workday
  • Create and deliver engaging instructional resources to empower users and keep them informed about Workday functionalities and the latest enhancements
  • Champion data integrity standards within the Workday environment by conducting thorough monitoring and auditing
  • Develop and maintain insightful Workday reports and dashboards that help stakeholders make informed decisionsStay current on Workday updates, releases, and industry trends to support regulatory requirements, emerging opportunities, and industry best practices
  • Implement and maintain strong security policies, role-based access controls, and data privacy standards within the Workday platform
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS; Workday experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with others
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, and successfully manage competing priorities
  • Proven experience with reporting and analytics.
  • Experience and knowledge of HCM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Time & Absence, and Benefits
For Hybrid positions:
  • Must be able to commute to an office setting as required, which may include walking short distances and navigating an office environment.
  • Occasionally moves about the office to access files, office machinery, and meet with others.
