Assist in developing, recording and posting content on official SRSU social media.
Collaborate with departments and student groups to promote events and initiatives.
Follow brand guidelines and receive training for media capture and editing.
Support the Communications & Marketing team; organize media and assist in productions.
Participate in weekly meetings and office hours with communications staff.
Represent SRSU professionally online and in-person.

Preferred

Experience with smartphone or digital photography, social media content creation, basic video editing, writing, typing, effective communication skills, comfortable in front of the camera, up to 19 available hours per week in office or on the field.

Primary Responsibilities

Attend, document and record campus events using smartphone, DSLR camera or camcorder for digital photography and videography (training provided, if needed).
Create short-form videos, vlogs and visual content that reflect student life at SRSU .
Assist in developing, recording, editing and posting content on official SRSU social media platforms.
Collaborate with departments and student groups to promote events and initiatives, and exemplify the SRSU experience.
Follow brand guidelines and receive training on best practices for media capture, editing, and storytelling.
Support the Communications & Marketing team as needed. Including, but not limited to: organization of physical and electronic media, basic editing and proofreading, and assisting in large-scale productions via our Media Specialist and Livestreaming team.
Participate in weekly meetings, check-ins, planning sessions and office hours with communications and marketing staff.
Represent SRSU in a professional and enthusiastic manner, both online and in-person.

Other duties as assigned.
