Job summary

CSU Stanislaus invites applications for temporary hourly-intermittent student assistants in the Office of Community-Engaged Learning. The role supports clerical and outreach tasks, coordinates campus communications about volunteer opportunities, assists with events, maintains files, and provides on-site support at campus and community events.

The position requires enrollment in 6 Fall/Spring units (4 units for grad students) and current Financial Aid award; pay is $16.90 per hour with open-ended

Qualifications

  • Must be an undergraduate enrolled in a minimum of six Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be enrolled in a minimum of four Fall/Spring units.
  • Must have received and accepted a Financial Aid award for the current semester/year.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate campus communication about volunteer opportunities for students.
  • Assist with outreach and management of on- and off-campus events.
  • Create and maintain files for various student, faculty, and community events and activities.
  • Provide on-site support at on- and off-campus community events.
  • Coordinate clerical projects with day-to-day department operations.
  • Compose letters and signage for the campus community.
  • Develop materials to promote service and service learning events with faculty and other departments.
  • Communicate with faculty, staff, students, and the public via email, in person, or by phone.
  • Assist in managing activities, events, and materials for service learning courses.
  • Maintain the online database of program sites for student placements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions available in the Office of Community-Engaged Learning.

Start Date

Positions available on or after September 14, 2026 and ending on or before May 21, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Job Description/Duties

To assist with the clerical and outreach aspects of the Office of Community-Engaged Learning

  • Coordinate campus communication about volunteer opportunities for students.
  • Assist with outreach and management of on- and off-campus events.
  • Create and maintain files for various student, faculty, and community events and activities.
  • Provide support on-site at on- and off-campus community events.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes clerical projects interspersed with the day-to-day activities and operations of the department.
  • Compose letters and signage for the campus community.
  • Develop materials for the promotion of service and service learning events in coordination with faculty and other University departments.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and the public via email correspondence, in-person interactions, and/or telephone communications.
  • Assist in the management of various activities, events, and materials for service learning courses.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the online database of program sites for student placements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Salary Range

$16.90per hour.
