Compensation: $39.17 - $39.17 p/hour

Tessera is seeking a Motivated and Hardworking Work Leader with a Positive/Professional attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform service, inspections, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of equipment to include, but not limited to, wheeled vehicles, track vehicles, engineer equipment, power generation, and material handling equipment, propane, natural-gas, electric, gasoline and diesel engine-powered vehicles; light, medium, heavy; and heavy equipment; trailers.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance and repair activities to support mission requirements and contractual performance standards.
- Monitor equipment availability, maintenance status, and repair timelines to maximize fleet readiness and support mission requirements.
- Assign work tasks based on technician skill level, workload, equipment availability, and operational priorities.
- Monitor repair progress and adjust work assignments as necessary to meet production schedules.
- Perform inspection and repair on various brake, suspension, wheels, hubs and steering systems, drive-train components and electrical systems, exhaust, hydraulic and engine systems.
- Verify work orders, labor entries, repair documentation, and parts usage for accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for difficult troubleshooting and repair situations.
- Conduct final inspections and operational checks prior to returning equipment to service.
- Review completed maintenance actions to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, and quality standards.
- Accomplish repairs and perform services as outlined in established technical manuals.
- Assist in identifying recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and fleet availability.
- Communicate equipment status, repair timelines, and maintenance requirements to management and customers.
- Coordinate with supply personnel, vendors, and management to ensure timely procurement of repair parts and materials.
- Understand and follow technical manuals, lube orders, wiring and hydraulic schematics to ensure proper diagnosis and repair during non-annual and annual services.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, Air Force, and company safety requirements.
- Perform major repair jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, removal, repair and installation of assemblies, and components.
- Lead safety discussions and promote safe maintenance practices throughout the shop.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on A/C systems.
- Coordinate with Lead mechanic and/or Project Manager regarding the procurement of parts/materials and supplies for ongoing repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains clean and safe work areas; ensuring building and shop cleanliness on a routine basis.
- Support employee skill development through on-the-job instruction and performance feedback.
- Assist management with workload planning, manpower utilization, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure maintenance actions, inspections, labor hours, and repair documentation are accurately recorded in applicable maintenance management and work order systems.
- Provides day-to-day work direction and technical guidance to assigned personnel but does not perform formal supervisory functions such as hiring, discipline, performance evaluations, or compensation decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, shop efficiency, workforce productivity, and equipment reliability through analysis of maintenance trends and recurring failures.
