Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Work Control Manager to oversee the full scope of work control operations at Naval Station Mayport, FL. You will manage service orders, estimates, subcontracts, and job orders to ensure timely, accurate execution.

You will coordinate day-to-day work control activities using NAVFAC Maximo and contractor Maximo systems, review requests, and dispatch technicians.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in production control or maintenance coordination, including government contracting.
  • Experience interfacing with technical/facilities maintenance issues with customers is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Maximo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee intake, prioritization, assignment, and closeout of service orders, estimates, subcontracts, and job orders.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal teams and government representatives.
  • Manage day-to-day work control operations using NAVFAC Maximo and contractor Maximo systems.
  • Review, validate, and prioritize service requests and work orders by contract requirements and priorities.
  • Dispatch technicians and subcontractors with proper skill alignment and timely response.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules (daily/weekly/long-range).
  • Plan and track preventive maintenance activities and update PM plans in Maximo.
  • Maintain assets and records, ensure documentation is complete and accurate in Maximo.
  • Coordinate with facilities management, engineering, and operations to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Monitor work order status and performance metrics; provide reports to leadership and customer.
  • Ensure compliance with NAVFAC requirements, contract standards, safety, and best practices.

About the Role

Oversee the full scope of work control operations, including the intake, prioritization, assignment, and closeout of service orders, estimates, subcontracts, and job orders to ensure timely and accurate execution.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and government representatives regarding work order status, scheduling conflicts, and customer service needs.
  • Manage day‑to‑day work control operations for facilities maintenance activities using NAVFAC Maximo and contractor Maximo systems
  • Receive, review, validate, and prioritize service requests and work orders in accordance with contract requirements and customer priorities
  • Dispatch maintenance technicians and subcontractors, ensuring proper skill alignment, response times, and work order assignment
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long‑range maintenance schedules for both recurring and non‑recurring work
  • Plan, coordinate, and track preventive maintenance (PM) activities to ensure timely execution and compliance
  • Create, update, and refine preventive maintenance plans, frequencies, and task lists within Maximo
  • Maintain accurate assets, equipment, and property records, including updates to asset hierarchies, locations, and condition data
  • Ensure work order documentation is complete, accurate, and closed out properly in Maximo, including labor, materials, and completion notes
  • Coordinate with facilities management, engineering, and operations teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and maintenance priorities
  • Monitor work order status, backlog, and performance metrics, and provide reports to leadership and the customer
  • Ensure compliance with NAVFAC requirements, contract standards, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices
  • Support audits, inspections, and assessments by providing system data, maintenance records, and asset information
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in production control or maintenance coordination, including specialized work in government contracting.
  • The position also requires an interface with many technical/facilities maintenance issues with the customer. As such, knowledge of various preventive maintenance models is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • This position is primarily performed in an office setting; however, regular site visits and field inspections are required. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate active work sites when necessary. This may include standing, walking, bending, or climbing for extended periods while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
