Job summary

Purple Innovation, LLC is seeking a Training-focused Production Laborer Trainer to lead safety-conscious training for new and current laborers on production lines in the United States. You will conduct skills development, document progress, and collaborate with Line Managers.

Responsibilities include teaching machine operation, overseeing changeovers, and driving improvements in efficiency and quality. A High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of manufacturing training experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing processing or assembly preferred.
• Prior experience conducting training in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic lean principles and 5S knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety rules and regulations.
• Perform and teach basic processes and procedures within the department, including machine operation, changeovers, and troubleshooting, with defect identification.
• Review skill development of new Laborers with the Line Manager during introductory period.
• Document training on individual training records and training matrix.
• Update Line Manager on completed and incomplete training.
• Evaluate operators for conformance with procedures during reviews.
• Ensure production flow through continuous training of Laborers.
• Collaborate with Line Manager and trainers to resolve training issues.
• Promote continuous improvement processes and procedures.
• Provide feedback to Line Manager on operator progress and skills.
• Assist with implementing training programs in the department.
• Maintain data reporting in Purple software systems.
• Facilitate work cell changeovers between shifts.
• Work as an operator in various production settings to meet goals.
• Drive machine efficiency and labor effectiveness.
• Attend off-shift events; overtime may be required.
• Support daily quality, safety, and throughput targets.
• Other duties as assigned.
