Job summary

The Steel Network, Inc. is seeking a WordPress Web Designer & UX Specialist to design, develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites across brands in construction, engineering, healthcare, nonprofit, and media industries.

You will collaborate with content creators, graphic designers, videographers, and marketing leadership to keep digital experiences modern, effective, and on brand. Responsibilities include site updates, SEO, integrations, and multi-brand project delivery from Durham, NC.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of WordPress design and development experience.
• Associate’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Portfolio of WordPress websites required.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and CRM integrations preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple brands or websites is a plus.
• Basic graphic design skills with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop WordPress websites and landing pages.
• Manage website updates, plugins, themes, and content.
• Build conversion-focused landing pages and campaign assets.
• Perform routine website maintenance, troubleshooting, content updates, and bug fixes.
• Coordinate website improvements and user experience enhancements.

The Steel Network, Inc. (TSN) is seeking a WordPress Web Designer & UX Specialist to design, develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites across brands in construction, engineering, healthcare, nonprofit, and media industries.

The role supports marketing, lead generation, fundraising, and brand awareness and works with content creators, graphic designers, videographers, and marketing leadership to help keep digital experiences modern, effective, and on brand.

Primary Responsibilities:

Website Design, Development & Maintenance

• Design and develop WordPress websites and landing pages.

• Manage website updates, plugins, themes, and content.

• Build conversion-focused landing pages and campaign assets.

• Perform routine website maintenance, troubleshooting, content updates, and bug fixes.

User Experience, SEO & Integrations

• Coordinate website improvements and user experience enhancements.

• Implement SEO best practices and optimize site performance.

• Support integrations with forms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.

Collaboration & Project Coordination

• Collaborate with designers, writers, content creators, videographers, and marketing leadership.

• Support basic writing needs when required.

• Manage multiple website projects across several brands.

Role boundary: Creating 3D models or graphics is not a primary responsibility of this role.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong WordPress experience.

• Experience with Divi Builder required.

• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.

• Experience with WooCommerce preferred.

• Strong understanding of website design and user experience.

• Familiarity with SEO best practices.

• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Basic graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma.

Education & Experience

Work Schedule
