Job summary

GTECH Information Technology builds and maintains a large portfolio of WordPress websites for brands across the Middle East. We seek a hands-on WordPress Specialist who can own a site from design to front-end to back-end, delivering pixel-accurate WordPress builds with custom functionality as needed.

The role requires native Arabic language skills (read & write) to build RTL layouts, manage Arabic typography, and ensure bilingual sites read correctly.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
• Native Arabic (read & write) with Arabic/RTL and bilingual site QA.
• Strong front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript (jQuery).
• Strong back-end skills: PHP, MySQL, WordPress APIs.
• Experience with ACF, CPTs, and custom fields.
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor/Gutenberg).
• Understanding of WordPress security and performance.

Responsibilities

• Convert approved designs (Figma/XD/PSD) into responsive WordPress themes.
• Build and customize WordPress themes, child themes, front-end and back-end features.
• Develop custom functionality: CPTs, taxonomies, fields, plugins.
• Maintain Arabic/RTL and bilingual sites with proper typography and multilingual setups (WPML/Polylang).
• Ensure sites are fast, secure, and SEO-friendly; assist with migrations and deployments.
