Cibes|Symmetry is currently recruiting for a Finisher/Sprayer in our Interior Elevator CAB department, located in our Roanoke, IL Facility.

This is a 1st shift position: 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays for a few hours depending on our workload.

Job Task

The incumbent applies paint, clear coat, stain, etc... to components as specified by written instructions, schedules and drawings; inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets specifications or work orders to determine unit or piece(s) to be painted
• Rolls, lifts, or maneuvers pieces onto and off of saw horses
• Ensures pieces are prepared for coating
• Sets and adjusts spray nozzle and directs spray onto desired surfaces
• Visually inspects parts according to quality specifications
• Cleans and maintains spray booth
• Changing paint booth filters as required
• Troubleshoots and reworks pieces that fail tests
• Performs all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures
• Maintains a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials
• Participates in training and cross-training efforts as needed
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS

• Paint application techniques and equipment experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read written procedures and understand work orders
• Demonstrated knowledge of adhesion and proper preparation of substrate
• Minimum one year of experience
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred, but not required.
