Qualifications

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Build and shape wood components used in elevators and accessibility products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and work orders.
  • Determine the materials and specifications needed for each project.
  • Operate woodworking equipment such as saws, routers, planers, drill presses, and sanders.
  • Assemble components using screws, nails, adhesives, and other fastening methods.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and accurately.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products for quality.
  • Adjust machinery and equipment to maintain accuracy and product specifications.
  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and light maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
  • Participate in cross-training and support other team members as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment. Employees must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch throughout the workday
  • Use their hands to grasp, handle, and operate tools and materials
  • Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Safely operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools
  • Work around moving equipment and typical manufacturing noise
  • Work in occasional hot or cold conditions
