Bertrand’s School of Music, part of Bertrand’s Music Enterprises, is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Woodwind Music Teacher for our San Diego location. We are looking for a versatile instructor who can teach multiple woodwind instruments, including clarinet, bass clarinet, and saxophone (alto, tenor, and baritone).Our ideal candidate is passionate about music education, enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels, and can provide engaging, individualized instruction in a fun, supportive, and professional environment.Preferred Teaching Days: Monday, Tuesday, and WednesdayGeneral Responsibilities/DutiesProvide individual music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's abilities and goals.Teach a variety of woodwind instruments, with an emphasis on clarinet, bass clarinet, and saxophone (alto, tenor, and baritone).Help recruit, develop, and retain students by creating a positive and encouraging learning experience.Prepare students for recitals, performances, and other musical opportunities.Provide additional student support through email or video communication, as appropriate.Inspire and motivate students while building positive relationships with students and families.Continue developing instructional techniques and musical knowledge.Promote the music education programs, services, and products available at Bertrand’s Music.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications & RequirementsProficiency in teaching clarinet, bass clarinet, and multiple saxophones (alto, tenor, and baritone) is strongly preferred. We are ideally seeking one instructor who can teach all listed instruments.Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field is preferred.
