Job summary

Nick Rail Music seeks a part-time Woodwinds Music Teacher to join our Santa Barbara store. You will teach private woodwind lessons to students in-store, focusing on clarinet, flute, and saxophone, with 1–2 teaching days per week and potential growth.

Responsibilities include developing individualized curricula and collaborating with parents to track progress. We offer scheduling flexibility, billing support, and opportunities to participate in recitals. Women and minorities encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching clarinet, flute, and saxophone (1–2 years minimum).
• Strong ability to work one-on-one with children and adults.
• Effective communication with students and parents.
• Availability to teach on Fridays and/or Saturdays.
• Schedule flexibility to build student base.
• Able to develop individual curriculum based on a student’s needs/prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach private woodwind lessons one-on-one in-store.
• Develop tailored lesson plans for each student.
