Job summary

Qualifications

• College Degree (Bachelors) in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in both professional and academic/instructional shops.
• Experience using and training on woodworking and metalworking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Hires, manages, and trains 5–8 LHT employees; creates schedules and task lists.
• Develops equipment and process training for staff, faculty, TA/TFs, and students; updates trainings.
• Assists students and faculty with class projects; supports demonstrations and trainings.
• Maintains, repairs, and updates over 25 pieces of stationary wood and metal equipment.
• Manages budget for the woodshop and metal shop, including materials, services and equipment.
