Job summary

One Hat One Hand seeks a Fabrication Manager to lead our woodshop, scaling daily operations while upholding quality and safety. You will mentor fabricators, translate designs into buildable products, and drive continuous improvement across processes. A strong leader with systems thinking will thrive in our high-accountability environment.

You will collaborate with Designers and PMs to ensure timely delivery of exceptional, craft-driven pieces that align with client objectives and shop standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in fabrication or construction
• 5+ years in supervisory or leadership role
• OSHA 30 certification (General Industry/Manufacturing preferred)
• Willingness to travel for installs and long shifts
• Valid Class B CA driver’s license, clean record within last 5 years

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily shop operations.
• Schedule tasks based on production timelines.
• Mentor fabricators and guide junior staff.
• Set professionalism, safety, and excellence in the shop.
• Collaborate with Designers and PMs from concept to build.
• Maintain quality control and troubleshoot issues on the floor.
• Develop and enforce shop systems for efficiency.
