Job summary

Keiser in Fresno, California, is hiring a Woodshop Assistant to join our U.S.-made equipment team. This hands-on, physically demanding role requires a positive attitude, adherence to shop safety, basic hand and power-tool skills, and clear communication.

You’ll assemble pallets, build crates, operate an automated CNC, and help manage production with a Kan Ban system. Full-time, 6am–2:30pm, Mon–Fri (some weekends). Compensation $17.00–$19.50 hourly, plus quarterly bonus and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to follow shop safety rules and procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for experienced an experienced Woodshop Assistant.

This is a very handson and physically demanding position. The ideal candidate must: have a positive attitude, follow all

shop safety rules, have a basic understanding of hand and power tools, have excellent communication

skills, and be able to perform repetitive tasks. They must also be technically inclined and able to

properly utilize tools and machinery. Since problems with machinery may arise, Woodshop Assistants

must be able to analyze situations and find solutions.

Employees are evaluated after 90 days with the company

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assembling pallets/skids for assembly process on a conveyor line, and seat cushions
• Building crates for freight shipments
• Operating an automated CNC machine
• Using Kan Ban system to manage production output
• Selecting the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used
• Examining and measuring completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units
  conform to predetermined specifications; adjusting machine controls to resolve production
  errors
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety of work area, and complying with safety standards and
  regulations

COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge and experience with tools: panel saw, chop saw, band saw, staple gun, various hand tools (hammer, tape measure, pliers, etc.), various router bits, and sanding belt
• Basic mathematical arithmetic knowledge
• Must have excellent attendance and an exceptional willingness to learn
• Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision
• High school diploma or GED
• Confirmation of a negative drug screen prior to starting
• Ability to stand in one area for up to 8 hours in a day
• Ability to lift product numerous times throughout the day

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Manufacturing: 6 months (preferred)

SCHEDULE

• 6am-2:30pm, 8-hour shift
• Monday through Friday, some weekends might be required (Saturday only)

COMPENSATION

• Non-Exempt position; Pay range: $17.00 - $19.50 hourly
• Final compensation will be determined and based on experience
• This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, based on a wide
  range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business
  needs, and other considerations permitted by law
• Quarterly bonus option for most employees
