Job summary

Hoover Treated Wood Products, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to support Receiving, Shipping, Treating Plant, Stacker, or Kiln areas while upholding safety and environmental standards across the production process.

The role requires moving wood bundles, daily forklift checks, and flexibility to flow between areas as needed. Emphasis on training, safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED recommended.
• Ability to obtain forklift operating permit.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Follow environmental and safety procedures and report issues.
• Load/unload trucks in Receiving or Shipping as assigned.
• Load/unload tram cars and stage material in Treating Plant.
• Load material onto stacker; stage for kiln loading and manage finished goods.
• Load/unload kiln charges as directed.
• Flow to different plant areas as needed.
• Move safely throughout yard and place spacers as required.
• Attend all training and safety meetings; train on lift.
• Perform daily forklift checks and report issues.
• Identify wood sizes and treatments; perform computer duties as needed.
