Job summary

AGCOR STEEL is seeking a Truss Assembler in Cullman, AL, responsible for assembling precut wooden trusses per specifications in a safe, efficient manner. Shift is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with duties that include quality checks, routine maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.

You will operate assembly equipment, read blueprints, and collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Read and follow instructions, including multi-step tasks.
• Work indoors without air conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety-first culture and protect employees and visitors.
• Operate assembly equipment to assemble wooden trusses per orders and specs.
• Perform quality checks and adjust as needed for accurate, damage-free products.
• Complete all daily orders and keep the workstation clean and organized.
• Routinely perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoot and notify supervisor of any machine issues.
• Maintain and update department visual tracking metrics boards.
• Cross-train on other functions in the department.
• Support plant goals for safety, quality, scrap prevention and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
