Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Forest Products, Wood Science, Renewable Materials, or related discipline.
• Junior or senior standing.
• Completion of laboratory coursework that included taking and recording measurements, analyzing results, and reporting findings.
• Ability to work full-time (~40 hours/week) for the duration of the summer internship.
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance to Athol, Idaho during the internship and report on-site.

Aufgaben

• Collect, prepare, label, and measure physical samples for research and quality control.
• Perform moisture content, density, particle size, and dimensional tests using established methods.
• Accurately record measurements and process conditions in data sheets and spreadsheets.
• Assist with setting up, operating, and monitoring equipment during tests and production runs.
• Help draft and refine test procedures, sampling plans, and data forms as processes transition from R&D to operations.
• Organize and summarize data and report findings through short written summaries, charts, and presentations.
• Plan and complete one or more assigned projects and present results at internship end.
