Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program in Forest Products, Wood Science, Renewable Materials, Forest Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Junior or senior standing; completion of laboratory coursework including measurements and reporting findings.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, prepare, label, and measure physical samples for research and quality control.
  • Perform routine tests such as moisture content, density, particle size, and dimensional measurements.
  • Record measurements and observations in data sheets, logs, and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with setting up and monitoring equipment during tests, trials, and production runs.
  • Draft and refine test procedures and sampling plans as processes transition from R&D to operations.
  • Summarize data and present findings through short summaries and charts.
