Job summary

Northwest Hardwoods is seeking dependable, safety-focused General Laborers to support production operations at our Longview, WA facility. This position performs hands-on work throughout the mill, including handling lumber, maintaining product flow, cleaning work areas, operating equipment as trained, and cross-training in other production roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train in different areas.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow all safety policies and rules.
• Handle, sort, stack, and move lumber by dimension, species, and grade.
• Support safe and efficient product flow throughout production.
• Use hand tools, wheelbarrows, and other equipment to clean debris and maintain work areas.
• Operate mobile equipment as trained and authorized.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and make quick, safe decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
• Cross-train in other production positions as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping and a safe work environment.
• Work cooperatively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
