Job summary

WestCor Construction in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Wood Framing Estimator to turn construction plans into accurate, competitive bids. You will review plans, perform lumber and framing takeoffs, estimate labor, and prepare cost-projections for residential and commercial projects.

We seek an experienced estimator who can read drawings, manage multiple bids, and collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure timely submissions. Office-based with occasional site checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in wood framing estimating for residential and commercial construction.
• Ability to read architectural/structural drawings.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.
• Knowledge of material pricing and labor productivity.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and define project scope.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for wood framing materials.
• Estimate labor hours and production rates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors and update estimates.

Buildaccurate,competitiveestimates

• Performdetailedquantitytakeoffsforwoodframingmaterials,includinglumber,studs,plates,headers,beams,joists,trusses,sheathing,blocking,hardware,andfasteners
• Estimatelaborhoursandproductionratesforframingcrews
• Preparedetailedcostestimatesforlabor,materials,equipment,andotherproject-relatedexpenses
• Requestandevaluatematerialpricingfromlumbersuppliers
• Compareestimatesagainstprojectbudgetsandidentifycost-savingopportunities

Keepbidsandcoordinationmoving

• Preparebidproposals,pricingsummaries,andcostbreakdowns
• Coordinatewithprojectmanagers,generalcontractors,suppliers,andsubcontractors
