Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Machine Operator in Bossier City, LA to operate manufacturing equipment, monitor product quality, and help keep production moving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include prior machine-operating or production experience, the ability to read a tape measure, perform basic math, and pass background and drug screenings. Steel-toed boots and a solid-colored shirt are required.

Qualifications

• Previous machine-operating or production experience.
• Must pass a measurement assessment.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic hand-tool knowledge preferred.
• Must pass a seven-year background check.
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening, including THC.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machinery.
• Inspect hardwood and plywood components.
• Verify component sizes and measurements.
• Organize five components for drawer-box assembly.
• Apply glue and place components into a clamp.
• Activate the clamp and inspect product fit.
• Staple drawer bottoms.
• Send completed products to inspection.
• Correct or report nonconforming products.
• Cross-train on up-cut saws, machining, and material handling.
• Clean machinery and work areas daily.
• Support team production goals.
