FULL TIME ASSISTANT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACH

Job Summary

The assistant coach will work within the framework of the Evangel University mission statement and the goals of the Evangel Athletic Department to:

1. Influence the Christian growth of all student-athletes
2. Influence all student-athletes to graduate with a professional degree
3. Develop the athletic skills of each student-athlete in season and out of season
4. Assist the Head Coach in developing comprehensive and strategic practice and game/competition plans
5. Recruit high-level student-athletes who will pursue the university's mission
6. Evaluate upcoming opponents and prepare scouting reports
7. Execute other athletics programs related tasks as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational degree preferred
• A working knowledge of the guidelines and policies governing the sport within the NAIA
• Possess qualities that reflect the standards of conduct and lifestyle of the Assemblies of God fellowship
• Experience recruiting highly talented intercollegiate student-athletes
• Experience coaching at the collegiate level preferred
• Ability to coach, teach, and motivate student-athletes in a Christian-collegiate environment
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Strong communication skills
