Job summary

Paw Paw Public School District in Michigan seeks a Women’s Varsity Wrestling Head Coach for the 2026/2027 season. The role includes coordinating in-season and off-season practice, developing curriculum, and building coaching relationships for grades 6-12.

Responsibilities include teaching wrestling techniques, fostering positive character, and guiding staff and student-athletes toward competitive success within the district’s MEA-NEA framework; start date is tentative November 2026.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma.
• Extensive experience with wrestling.
• Successful past coaching experience preferred.
• Cap 1 and/or Cap 2 Certification & First Aid/CPR Certified (can complete upon hiring).
• Strong organizational skills, w/ability to construct comprehensive off-season programs.
• Able to coordinate/teach wrestling skills and strategy to build a competitive varsity program.
• Strong personal/social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate in-season and out-of-season practice/training opportunities for grades 6-12.
• Develop program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 6-12.
• Develop cohesive coaching relationships that work to develop coaches and athletes grades 6-12.
• Teach and instruct all aspects of wrestling, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes.
• Provide coaching, encouragement, and instructional guidance to all athletes & staff in the program, youth-Varsity
