Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s preferred for teaching.
• Coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level is required.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules is required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to recruit, develop, and motivate student athletes.
• Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and promotion of the soccer program, including: development of schedule, budget, assistant coach and student manager selection and training, fundraising, and travel logistics.
• Lead team to a successful season with conference finishes and post-season participation.
• Maintain positive communication with student-athletes, managers, and staff to reflect trust and respect.
• Develop student-athlete physical, spiritual, emotional, academic, and psychological well-being.
• Recruit student-athletes who understand the mission of the athletic department and institution.
• Visit high schools and colleges to recruit and meet with potential student-athletes and families.
• Coordinate recruiting efforts of assistant coaches and maintain roster numbers and goals.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA rules and Bethany policies.
