Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking staff for its women’s program in Rome, GA. The position supports recovery services for women in a gender-specific setting, with both residential and intensive outpatient components, aiming to help clients achieve abstinence, housing stability, and employment readiness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Gender-specific program requires female staff.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to deal with conflict, manage aggression, and use non-violent crisis intervention.
• 1 year of professional behavioral health or SUD experience preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training basic personal and social skills.
• Performs administrative, clerical and related support activities.
• Observes and monitors client’s behavior and charts observations and incidents.
• Provide guidance, motivation and encouragement to promote recovery.
• Oversee self-administering of medication.
• Assist in obtaining GED's, resume building, job placement and may transport consumers to and from part time jobs.
• Serve as mentors and assist in group and outing activities.
• Assisting in knowledge of substance misuse and of problems encountered by chemically dependent individuals; basic understanding of behavior management
• Other duties as assigned.
