Job summary

Community & Family Resources is seeking a Women's Halfway House Counselor in Des Moines. This full-time role requires providing substance use counseling and case management services to women in the Bernie Lorenz Recovery halfway house.

The ideal candidate will help clients with assessments, treatment planning, and support in recovery community involvement. Benefits include health and dental insurance, IPERS retirement, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Must secure CADC certification within 12 months of hire.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field is preferred.
• Experience as a substance use and/or gambling treatment counselor is valued.

Responsibilities

• Review applicants for appropriateness for the program.
• Conduct individual assessment sessions for clients.
• Develop and coordinate individual treatment plans.
• Facilitate groups and provide follow-up services.
• Conduct individual sessions to discuss client progress.
