  • Provides training to unit staff on policies and new programming as needed.
  • Conducts monthly chart audits and competency reporting for Case Managers.
  • Ensures compliance with current standards and regulations; reports deficiencies to Clinical Director.
  • Provides direct supervision of unit staff with documented feedback.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with patients at Valley Vista.
  • Maintains attendance and punctuality per policy and plans staffing accordingly.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and supervises employees as needed.
  • Provides back-up coverage as needed.

Summary of Position:

The Women’s Program Director oversees the unit for all programming and all clinical staff. They are responsible for developing a core curriculum for the program and providing comprehensive clinical assessments of patients when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and updates the unit’s programs with the approval of the Clinical Director
  • Provides training to unit staff (new and existing) to ensure compliance with organization’s policies and regulatory guidelines, new programming, etc. as needed
  • Conducts monthly chart audits for each Case Manager, completes competency reporting, and gives individual or group direction as needed
  • Understands and ensures compliance with all current standards and regulations that apply to the facility, licensure, and clinical programs. Reports any deficiencies promptly to Clinical Director
  • Provides direct supervision of unit staff, including performance feedback (90 day, annual, daily supervision/guidance as needed) in a timely manner and with proper documentation
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with patients at Valley Vista
  • Follows organization’s attendance and punctuality policies.
  • Plans and maintains adequate staffing for the unit in accordance with regulatory and facility standards Timeliness and completeness of required documentation.
  • Communicates with other employees, both orally and in writing
  • Directly supervises employees as programmatically determined.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Provides back-up coverage as needed
