Job summary

Jubilee Ministries in Leesport, PA seeks a part-time Chaplain to serve inmates and staff through Bible teaching and gospel-centered counseling. The role supports life change through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and requires a personal faith commitment.

You will lead classes, provide spiritual guidance, coordinate weekly worship, visit housing areas, and submit timely reports while partnering with prison staff to uphold the ministry's mission.

Qualifications

• Must be committed to being an ambassador of life change through the Gospel.
• Must affirm the authority of the Bible.
• Able to counsel in a manner consistent with Jubilee’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Teach Bible classes to prison inmates about life change through the Gospel.
• Provide counsel to prison inmates from the Bible about life change through the Gospel.
• Pray that the Spirit would bring life change through the Gospel to inmates.
• Help coordinate weekly Christian worship services.
• Visit inmate housing areas to interact with inmates.
• Respond to inmate requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain and submit monthly reports.
• Attend required training as instructed by prison staff.
• Promote Women’s Aftercare and facilitate inmate applications.
• Assist in organizing Jubilee activities in the facility.
• Minister to prison staff within the facility.
• Participate in Prison Chaplaincy staff meetings and team-building activities.

The Details

Hours: 12 hours per week

Compensation: $21.20
