Job summary

Middlebury College in Vermont is seeking an Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach to support the head coach in all aspects of the program and mentor student-athletes. You will recruit within NCAA rules, plan daily practices, scout opponents, manage travel and equipment budgets, and promote academic and personal growth.

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits, a hiring range of $52,416 to $61,968 per year, pro rata, through June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience playing and coaching at the collegiate level preferred.
• Strong communication skills with diverse groups; commitment to DEI.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities; CPR/AED/First Aid certifications current.
• Valid driver's license; college vehicle license if requested.

Responsibilities

• Coach the technical and tactical aspects of women's lacrosse in practices and competitions.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes within Middlebury, NESCAC and NCAA rules.
• Assist head coach in preparing daily practice plans and competition scouting reports.
• Assist with travel plans, equipment purchasing, and budgeting for the program.
• Mentor student-athletes academically and personally; support DEI and wellbeing initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by head coach or Director of Athletics, including event management.
