Job summary

Advantia Health invites applications for a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner role at our facility in Silver Spring, MD. The ideal candidate will have solid gynecologic experience and antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum expertise across patients with varying conditions.

You will diagnose and treat illnesses, perform exams, order tests, and coordinate care with other providers, while educating patients and supporting family health planning.

Qualifications

• MSN degree with accredited NP program completion.
• MD state NP and RN licenses in good standing.
• BLS certification current or obtained before direct patient care.
• At least 3 years in women's health.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic gyn illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations.
• Coordinate referrals with other healthcare professionals.
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist.
• Order or perform diagnostic tests as appropriate.
• Educate patients and promote family health.
• Manage common acute/chronic illnesses and minor procedures.
