Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable if willing to enroll in BSN within 3 years and complete within 5 years.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience.
• Current Michigan RN licensure.
• BCLS certification.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in documenting in EHR and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop care plans aligned with standards and goals.
• Provide direct patient care including meds, wound care, education, and family support in women's and newborn health.
• Delegate and supervise nursing tasks ensuring quality and protocol compliance.
• Document care accurately in the EHR and maintain confidentiality and compliance.
• Communicate with healthcare team, physicians, and staff about patient and family information.
• Identify variances in outcomes and participate in corrective actions.
• Maintain current knowledge in women's and newborn nursing through ongoing professional development.
