Job summary

Moses Lake Community Health Center is seeking a WIC Certifier to provide nutritional education, eligibility assessments and promote breastfeeding within our community health setting. The role involves certifying or appointing WIC participants, developing care plans, and issuing food benefits tailored to participant needs.

You will collaborate with colleagues to uphold service standards and promote inclusive care across sites, with travel between work locations as required, and bilingual

Qualifications

• Ability to read and speak Spanish and/or Russian.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license documentation.
• Travel between work sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs eligibility and appropriate certification or appointment for prospective and current WIC participants.
• Establishes and helps participants manage their WIC care plan.
• Prescribes and issues food benefits based on participant needs.
• Encourages and promotes breastfeeding per WIC program guidelines.
• Maintains Moses Lake Community Health Center's service standards with participants and staff.
• Contributes to a supportive work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs eligibility and appropriate certification or appointment for prospective and current WIC participants.
• Establishes and helps participants manage their WIC care plan.
• Prescribes and issues food benefits based on participant needs.
• Encourages and promotes breastfeeding per WIC program guidelines.
• Consistently exhibits Moses Lake Community Health Center's Service Standards with participants and co-workers.
• Consistently contributes to a work environment that is supportive and values the contributions of everyone.

Requirements

• Ability to read and speak Spanish and/or Russian required.
• Must have reliable transportation and provide documentation of auto insurance and valid driver's license as required.
• Travel between work sites is required as needed.
