HMSHost in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Wok Cook responsible for preparing wok-cooked items and setting up the wok station for the Pei Wei concept each shift.

You will support a team, communicate potential issues to the on-duty manager, and provide high levels of service to customers and colleagues. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or Operations Director as required.

Qualifications

• 6 months wok-cooking experience or 9 months sauté experience in a high-volume casual dining kitchen
• Ability to work two woks simultaneously
• Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
• Ability to read, comprehend instructions and policy documents
• Ability to stand/walk up to 9 hours in varied kitchen temperatures

Responsabilités

• Follow recipes and directions for wok-cooked items with urgency and attention to detail
• Prepare and set up wok station for each shift
• Maintain quality control and monitor freshness of products
• Sanitize stations and equipment per HACCP and HMSHost policies
• Handle knives safely and wear cut gloves as required
• Assist with inventory and temperature checks of products and supplies
• Adapt to changes in new menu items and cooking techniques
